As a Warehouse Operative based in Barking you’ll be responsible for:

• Ensuring our OTIF(On Time – In Full) and SLA’s are met with accurate picking and packing of customer orders
• Supporting the warehouse team to receive and receipt inbound external orders
• Proactively supporting the team on receipt of our feeder deliveries to ensure orders are fulfilled to customers
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
• Supporting the transport and operations manger with loading of fleet for following day
• Providing cover driving a 3.5T van delivering plumbing and heating supplies to our customers in the local area

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday between 07.30am – 5.00pm and Saturdays on a rota basis 8.00am – 12.00pm..

• Previous industry or warehouse experience would be ideal
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and step up to run the department in your managers absence.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships
• A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
