The role:

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Band 4 Team Medical Secretary to join the Adult Eating Disorders Service within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. This is a key role at the heart of a compassionate, multidisciplinary mental health service where highquality administration directly supports patient care. You will work closely with clinical colleagues, patients and carers, acting as a central point of contact and ensuring the service runs smoothly and efficiently. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

• Florence Street Mental Health Resource Centre
• Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00

Key responsibilities:

• Provide a comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative service to the multidisciplinary clinical team
• Act as the first point of contact for patients, carers and professionals via telephone and face-to-face communication
• Process referrals, maintain waiting lists and manage appointments using electronic clinical systems
• Prepare and organise clinics, meetings and documentation, including accurate minute taking
• Maintain patient records, databases and reporting systems, ensuring data quality and confidentiality
• Manage team diaries, staff records and administrative systems to support effective service delivery
• Support and supervise junior administrative staff and contribute to service improvements

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• Recognised qualification in Administration or significant equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience working in a busy secretarial or administrative role
• Competence in using standard IT systems including Microsoft Office and electronic record systems
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting demands
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
• Previous experience within NHS or Health and Social Care Partnership settings is desirable
