Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments? We’re looking for an experienced T1 / First Line IT Technician to join our team and hit the ground running.
In this role, you’ll provide onsite First Line IT support across multiple schools within approx. one hour commute to SL9, helping staff keep systems running smoothly and ensuring our customers receive the excellent service they expect. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking, rapidly growing IT company headquartered in Wolverhampton.
Duties:
– Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues
– Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
– Set up and manage user accounts and access permissions
– Monitor and analyse network performance, including VPN, LAN, DNS, and Firewall
– Collaborate with team members to resolve IT issues and implement solutions
– Document and track support tickets using our ticketing system, Freshdesk
– Assist with software installations and updates
– Conduct regular system maintenance tasks, such as backups and updates
– Attending school following a daily schedule and providing hands-on IT support and advice to our customers.
This role offers a variety of experiences, and no two days are the same.
Working in schools means you will be responsible for Hardware (PCs, Laptops, Tablets, Wifi, Servers, Backup Systems, Projectors/Interactive Displays, and more), Software (Cloud platforms (Azure/Office 365/Google Workspace), School MIS Systems, Windows Server, Hyper V, VMWare and a wide range of other software), providing face to face support on issues such as Cyber Security, Data Protection, Accessibility, and documenting and tracking support tickets using our ticketing system, Freshdesk.

As an IT service provider that works closely with schools, we are dedicated to protecting children from harm and adhere to strict safer recruitment practices. We believe that each role involves engaging in regulated activity, as defined in the KCSIE 2026, and as such, all applicants will undergo a comprehensive vetting process. This process includes safeguarding and pre-employment checks, such as an enhanced DBS with a children’s barred list check, qualification checks, two satisfactory reference checks, a full employment history check (with explanations for any gaps), medical fitness, right to work and identity checks. We may defer the start date if the relevant checks are not completed by the specified start date. Before the interview, shortlisted candidates will be required to disclose why they may not be suitable to work with children, and we may conduct an online search as part of our due diligence. After a successful appointment, applicants must complete mandatory training and continue to do so regularly to maintain our commitment to safeguarding children. Compliance with our safeguarding measures is a condition of employment for all team members.
The successful candidate will also hold a full UK driving licence, with no more than three penalty points on it and have access to suitable transport for work.

PLEASE NOTE: Although our office is based in Wolverhampton, this role is based in school/s. Therefore, you will not be expected to travel to our Wolverhampton office to carry out your routine duties. However, there will be occasions where you will be required to attend the office. This may include, but is not limited to, training, development and internal meetings.
