Due to our continued growth, Tollymore Properties wishes to recruit an Accounts Administrator to join a highly successful business.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have strong attention to detail and will receive full in house training for the role.
This role is part time and will be based at our office in Castlewellan and can commence immediately.
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage our core financial administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Xero and have a solid understanding of UK tax compliance, specifically within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
· Payroll Management: Processing monthly/weekly payroll, ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time.
· CIS Returns: Managing Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) deductions, verifying subcontractors, and submitting monthly returns to HMRC.
· VAT Returns: Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns in compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD).
· Xero Accounting: Maintaining accurate digital records, bank reconciliation, and ensuring the software is kept up to date.
· Purchase Orders: Generating and tracking purchase orders, matching invoices, and managing supplier queries.
· Processing of Accounts Payable – purchase orders, processing supplier invoices, reconciliation to supplier statements and processing payments.
· Monitoring mailbox: ensure emails are monitored and appropriately actioned.
· General administrative duties in the office.
· Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time
Requirements
· Proven experience using Xero accounting software.
· Knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) is essential.
· Strong understanding of UK VAT and Payroll regulations.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
