Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Self-Employed Delivery Driver to operate as a Yodel Owner. This role involves managing your own delivery schedule, ensuring timely and accurate parcel deliveries. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and possess excellent communication skills to provide outstanding service to customers. As a self-employed owner, you will be responsible for maintaining your vehicle and adhering to all safety regulations, contributing to the efficient delivery process.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport parcels to various locations within your designated area
- Manage your own schedule to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
- Load and unload parcels, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collection documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients and the central dispatch team regarding delivery status or issues
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations
- Follow all traffic laws and health & safety guidelines during operations
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with strong commercial driving skills
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for operating a lorry or van in the UK
- Experience in warehouse handling or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Organised with good time management skills to optimise delivery routes and schedules
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems for efficient route planning

Pay: From £180.00 per day
