Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a reputable care home. The candidate will have experience in senior care, supervising staff, and developing care plans. The Senior Care Assistant will be responsible for supporting the wellbeing and independence of our residents, ensuring high standards of personalised care are maintained at all times.

Duties

• Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Supervise and support junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment
• Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
• Lead by example in maintaining dignity, respect, and confidentiality for all residents
• Maintain accurate documentation using Person Centred Software for care records and reporting purposes
• Will do medication administration following prescribed protocols
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery

Experience

• Previous experience working within a care home environment specialising in senior care is essential
• Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care setting is highly desirable
• Knowledge of care planning processes and the ability to adapt approaches based on individual needs
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in IT systems utilised for documentation and reporting purposes
