Job Description:
Join us as an Internal Auditor at Barclays where you will play a pivotal role in leading audits within the UK Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) business division. You will work collaboratively with others in BIA to develop strong independent Auditee relationships and conduct audit activity to provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls. You will also ensure that audits/assignments on a day-to-day basis are completed to a high standard in line with audit methodology and you will support delivery of the PBWM Audit Plan
Job Responsibility:
- Play a pivotal role in leading audits within the UK Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) business division
- Work collaboratively with others in BIA to develop strong independent Auditee relationships and conduct audit activity to provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls
- Ensure that audits/assignments on a day-to-day basis are completed to a high standard in line with audit methodology
- Support delivery of the PBWM Audit Plan
- Support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives
- Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management
- Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments
- Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements
- Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice
Requirements:
- Strong experience in risk-based auditing or risk/control preferably in Private Banking
- Must have ACA qualification
- Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment
- Experience of managing audits/driving initiatives in a relevant field
- Proven track record of high performance in previous roles to include senior client management
