ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a reliable and structured IT Support professional Sub-contractor to join us on a part-time basis, working remotely alongside our existing IT team. This role is critical in strengthening our IT operations, reducing single-person dependency, and ensuring consistent support across all seven stores.
This is a hands-on, process-driven role. Each working day you will take ownership of pre-defined BAU (Business as Usual) tasks, ensuring all systems and users are fully operational. You will work extensively within the Microsoft ecosystem – including Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, and Power BI.
WORKING PATTERN
Your week is structured as follows:
Wednesday
Collaborative – working remotely alongside another IT team member
Thursday & Friday
Solo – autonomous, self-directed support
Full training will be provided at the start of the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily BAU Support
- Execute structured, pre-defined daily IT support tasks each morning
- Ensure store systems, reports, and users are fully operational
- Act as first and second line support for issues raised throughout the day
User & Systems Support
- Provide remote support via Microsoft Teams
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and access issues
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding – accounts, permissions, and devices
Microsoft Environment
- Support Microsoft 365 applications across the business
- Use Microsoft Teams as the primary communication and support platform
- Assist with Power Automate workflows and basic Power BI reporting
Infrastructure & Business Continuity
- Help maintain system stability, backups, and security practices
- Work closely with the IT team to understand and support infrastructure
- Contribute to reducing single-resource dependency across IT operations
Documentation & Process (Critical)
- Maintain clear, structured documentation of systems and processes
- Keep IT documentation current and accurate at all times
- Build repeatable, scalable processes to improve efficiency and continuity
REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- 2–5 years’ experience in IT support
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Experience in remote support environments
- Power Apps and Python knowledge
- Along wth a Coding background knowledge
- Comfortable operating in structured, process-driven settings
- Strong written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Exposure to Power Automate and/or Power BI
- Basic networking knowledge (VPN, routers, Wi-Fi)
- Experience with IT documentation or ticketing systems (e.g. iTOP)
- Awareness of IT security best practices
