Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care to achieve desired aesthetic results.
• Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project specifications and deliver satisfactory outcomes.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment by disposing of waste materials responsibly and ensuring tools are stored correctly.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks during painting and decorating tasks.
• Assist with colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for different surfaces and environments.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
• Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
• Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Good physical fitness with the capacity to work at heights using scaffolding or ladders safely.
