Logistics Coordinator (Recyclables)

Annual Salary: £30,000 – £47,000 DOE
Location: IG8, Woodford Green
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Join our client, a key player in the freight forwarding industry and part of a rapidly expanding group. Our client is looking for an experienced Recyclables Operations Specialist to support and drive the day-to-day running of their recyclables function, focusing on operational excellence and process improvement within a niche market with significant growth potential.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Take ownership of the Recyclables operation, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day running.
• Act as a key operational point of contact, supporting colleagues during challenges and resolving issues.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for customer and client queries.
• Work closely with Commercial teams to improve file profitability and overall performance.
• Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, contributing to their development and overall team performance.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including supporting Credit Control and ensuring supplier and customer queries are managed effectively and kept up to date.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience within operational freight forwarding (ideally within recyclables or a related sector).
• Strong operational knowledge with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
• Confident communicator with the ability to support and influence colleagues.
• Experience improving processes and driving operational efficiencies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage operational challenges.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of file profitability.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Benefits:

• Competitive salary of £30,000 – £47,000 per annum (depending on experience).
• 3% pension contribution.
• 20 days holiday, increasing to 25 days after 3 years’ service.
• Office-based role, Monday to Friday (08:45 – 17:15).
