Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Assistant Site Manager to oversee construction projects and ensure their successful completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive supervising experience in construction management. This role involves coordinating teams, managing schedules, and maintaining safety standards on-site to deliver projects on time and within budget. The Assistant Site Manager will play a pivotal role in liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations across all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress against milestones.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and labour teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met and safety protocols are followed.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and site manager to facilitate effective communication and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare progress reports and documentation for senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation throughout all site activities.

Skills

• Proven management experience within the construction sectors.
• Extensive supervising experience with a track record of leading teams effectively.
• Proficiency using project management software such as field view
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to problem-solve quickly whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites is required.
