Join Brent Council’s dynamic finance team as an Income Project Assistant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support key income-related projects, ensuring effective financial processes and contributing to the ongoing improvement of services across the borough. Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the delivery of income-related projects across the council.
- Assist in monitoring and analysing income streams to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with internal departments to gather information and resolve income queries.
- Provide administrative and project support to the wider finance team.
- Assist in producing reports and performance data for stakeholders.
- Support process improvements to enhance income collection and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a finance, income, or project support role within a local authority or similar environment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Experience working with financial systems is desirable.
Benefits:
- Hybrid working model: 3 days per week in the office (Wembley Park) and 2 days working from home.
