Team Member job at Hitchin Full Time NEW

What we are looking for:

Hard working, responsible, enthusiastic individual who is willing to work weekends and evenings as well as day time shifts, approximately 30 hours a week. This role would suit a gap year student.

Kitchen experience and barista experience is preferred but full training will be provided.

We are a hardworking and strong team, we a looking for someone who has a commitment to excellence and pride in their work but also has a friendly confident warming personality who will fit in well with great customer service and be an excellent team player.

Responsibilities:
– Assist in meal preparation and cooking, training will be provided.
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces.
– Stock and rotate ingredients and supplies as needed
– Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
– Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

– Handling cash and taking orders via the phone and till

– Serving customers, keeping front of house clean

– Good friendly customer service

– making coffees, teas and cold drinks and desserts

Skills:
– Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of food preparation techniques
– Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
– Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
– Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, but not required
