We are supporting a major financial services programme and are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Payments and Capital Markets expertise to join a high-performing delivery team.

This role sits at the intersection of trading systems, settlement processes and payment infrastructure, supporting the delivery of critical payment and post-trade change initiatives.

Essential Experience

• Proven Business Analysis experience within Capital Markets and/or Payments
• Strong understanding of trade life cycle processes (T, T+1, T+2)
• Experience working across trade settlement, clearing and cash movement processes
• Requirements gathering, analysis and documentation
• BRDs, FRDs and User Stories
• Process mapping (As-Is/To-Be)
• Stakeholder management across business and technology teams
• Experience supporting SIT and UAT activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Trade Settlement Payments
• Margin Payments (Initial & Variation Margin)
• Corporate Actions
• Delivery vs Payment (DvP)
• Payment workflows and settlement processing
• RTGS and Net Settlement
• SWIFT MT messaging (MT103, MT202 etc.)
• ISO 20022/MX messaging
• Nostro/Vostro Accounts
• Liquidity Management
• Reconciliation and Exception Management
• CCP and CSD environments

Desirable Skills

• SQL and data analysis
• API integrations
• SWIFT interfaces and payment engines
• BPMN, Visio or Lucidchart
• Calypso, Murex or similar trading platforms
• Financial Markets or Investment Banking experience

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements
• Produce high-quality functional specifications and process documentation
• Map end-to-end payment, settlement and trade workflows
• Define payment flows, settlement instructions and data mappings
• Support testing, validation and reconciliation activities
• Work closely with Front Office, Operations, Treasury and Technology teams
• Engage with external stakeholders including custodians and clearing houses
