We’re working with a high-profile London Local Authority based in Wembley to recruit an experienced Senior Campaigns Officer on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional with strong local government marketing and communications experience to shape impactful campaigns that engage residents, partners, and stakeholders.

The Role

As Senior Campaigns Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering the council’s Corporate Communications Strategy, helping to enhance and protect its reputation while driving meaningful engagement across the borough.

You’ll lead the planning and delivery of integrated behaviour change campaigns, working collaboratively across services and advising senior stakeholders and elected members.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact, integrated marketing and communications campaigns
• Provide expert communications advice to officers, senior leaders, and elected members
• Create engaging content across multiple channels including:
  
  • Press releases, web, social media, newsletters and publications
• Develop creative, insight-led campaigns using behavioural science principles
• Manage campaign budgets and ensure value for money
• Monitor performance and evaluate campaign effectiveness, using insights to optimise outcomes
• Produce multimedia content (video, photography, case studies)
• Build strong internal relationships to proactively identify communication opportunities
• Support on out-of-hours media where required

About You

• Proven experience in marketing and communications within a Local Authority
• Strong track record delivering complex, multi-channel campaigns
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise senior leaders
• Skilled content creator across both traditional and digital platforms
• Experience using data and insights to measure and improve campaign performance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
