Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Day Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the daily needs of aldults in a caring environment, ensuring their safety, engagement, and development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills to foster a positive atmosphere for our residents. Previous experience in care settings or home care is advantageous and easy travel to the home.
Duties
- Assist with the serving of meals and snacks, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Support residents with personal care routines such as toileting, washing and dressing when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding our residents wellbeing.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each residents needs.
- Use the electronic system to record observations and care and support given.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a care home or similar setting is preferred.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication with residents, families, visitors and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and completing documentation efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to work flexibly within scheduled hours, demonstrating organisation and reliability.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting health and wellbeing.
Pay: £13.75 per hour
