Duties

• Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients for cooking and service
• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
• Ensuring all areas of the kitchen are kept tidy and organised throughout shifts
• Supporting chefs with stock rotation and storage of ingredients
• Assisting with the disposal of waste and recycling materials appropriately
• Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

• Experience or interest in food preparation and cooking is desirable
• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene standards
