Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. This role offers valuable experience in catering, cooking, and restaurant operations, suitable for individuals passionate about the culinary arts and eager to develop their skills within a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during service
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas
- Organise ingredients and supplies to facilitate efficient kitchen operations
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Support stock rotation and inventory management as required
- Assist with washing up, cleaning utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen appliances
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking, or culinary tasks will be considered a plus
- Familiarity with working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is beneficial
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills within a professional culinary setting
