KMS Communications is looking for 5 reliable Cable Pullers / Data Room Installation Operatives to support upcoming installation works on a construction site.
The work will be carried out within a data room environment on an active construction site. Operatives will assist with cable pulling, cable routing, racking, stacking, and basic patching activities as part of the network and communications installation works.
This role is suitable for candidates with experience in structured cabling, telecoms, construction-site installations, comms rooms, data rooms, or network infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Pulling, routing, dressing, and securing data and fibre cables
- Assisting with structured cabling installation works
- Working within a data room on an active construction site
- Supporting the racking and stacking of network equipment and associated hardware
- Assisting with basic fibre and copper patching
- Labelling cables, ports, and equipment accurately
- Supporting engineers with cabinet build-outs and installation tasks
- Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
- Working from instructions, drawings, schedules, or engineer direction
Requirements
- Previous experience in cable pulling, structured cabling, telecoms, or construction-site installation work
- Basic understanding of racking, stacking, and patching
- Experience working in comms rooms, data rooms, or similar technical environments preferred
- Ability to work neatly and follow instructions carefully
- Strong attention to detail, especially with cable dressing and labelling
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Valid CSCS / ECS / relevant site card preferred
- Own PPE required
- Fibre or copper cabling experience preferred

- Construction-site telecoms or structured cabling work
- Data room or comms room installations
- Fibre and copper patching

- Patch panel work
- Racking and stacking switches, routers, servers, or other network equipment
- Cable dressing to a clean professional standard
