Summary of role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience using Xero accounting software and possess strong analytical skills. This role will support the finance department in various tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, debt collection, and administrative duties.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
1. Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software.
2. Process invoices, payments, and expenses.
3. Manage debt collection processes, including contacting clients for overdue payments.
4. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
5. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
6. Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial records.
7. Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience
1. Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.
2. Proficiency in using Xero accounting software.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
7. AAT or qualified by experience

Possesses interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with all levels both internally and externally. Pay: £26,300.00-£30,000.00 per year
