Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will support daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data management. Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or QuickBooks
• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and promptly
• Support the reconciliation of accounts and prepare relevant documentation for audits
• Utilise systems like Workday and other ERP platforms to input and retrieve financial data
• Ensure all transactions comply with organisational policies and relevant regulations
• Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
• Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end closing procedures and reporting tasks
• Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to financial data or transactions

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
• Experience with Workday or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is desirable
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general financial procedures within the context of financial services
• Familiarity with standard accounting practices and principles
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Pay: £13.50-£15.50 per hour
