Finance Assistant (part-time) job at Tile Hill Full Time

C4 Logistics are specialists in European dedicated transport and customs clearance. We are looking for a part-time Finance Assistant with experience in Sage 200 to join the team at our head office in Coventry (CV4)

You will be responsible for invoicing, allocating payments and credit control, keeping the customer accounts updated and accurate. It’s a hands-on role, communicating with customers and working closely with our operations and sales team when queries come up.

Please note:

• This is a part time position (20 hours per week). Hours can be worked across 3 – 5 days as long as they are between 09:00 – 17:00
• The salary awarded will be prorata (0.5 FTE) actual salary: £14,000/annum

What you will do on a day-to-day:

• Raising, processing and issuing customer invoices accurately and on time
• Allocating customer payments to the correct accounts and invoices
• Monitoring customer accounts and identifying overdue balances
• Carrying out credit control, including sending statements and chasing outstanding payments by phone and email
• Resolving invoice, payment and account queries in a professional and timely manner
• Reconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepancies
• Updating the finance system with invoice, payment and customer account information
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Liaising with customers and internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues

What we’re looking for

• Experience in Sage 200
• Experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role
• Confident and polite on the phone
• Comfortable with accounting software and accurate with data

Previous experience in logistics or freight is useful but not essential. What matters more is that you’re reliable, thorough, and not afraid to pick up the phone.
