GLL are looking for Children’s Activity Instructors (Playground Workers) based at Coldharbour Adventure Playground.
Passionate about seeing children and young people develop by working and engaging with them to achieve and become well rounded adults is a key part of this role as Adventure Playgrounds are unique and special play spaces, with many fantastic benefits to children and young people. They can be the first place where many children learn to climb, jump, swing and hang helping them to build strength, coordination and balance. Working as part of a team, you’ll create a structured, safe and fun environment using the facilities around you. You’ll be confident in leading children through a mix of arts & crafts and sporting activities that can include (dependent on availability) anything from football, basketball, swimming (where possible), trampolining and even bouncy castles. You’ll encourage an environment of respect and friendship amongst the children, especially as they can be from very diverse backgrounds.
You’ll probably be from a childcare, sports or arts background and have experience of working with children aged 6-16.
