We are now looking for a Accounts Administrator to join our team and take ownership of our day-to-day financial and administrative processes.

The Role

We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to take ownership of our day-to-day finance and administrative processes.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for keeping financial operations running smoothly. A key part of the role is credit control, so you must be confident and comfortable speaking with customers to manage outstanding payments.

You will work closely with the business owner and liaise with our external accountant for VAT returns and year-end accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero (or similar such as Sage)
• Proactive credit control, including chasing overdue payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Managing direct debit collections and submissions
• Processing supplier invoices and payments
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Liaising with external accountant regarding VAT returns and accounts preparation
• General administration and communication with customers and suppliers

About You

• Previous experience in an accounts / finance role
• Confident handling credit control and speaking directly with customers
• Experience using Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and VAT
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator who works well in a small team
• Able to take ownership and manage workload independently

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
• Friday: 07:45 – 14:45
• 38.5 hours per week
• Office based role

Pay: From £26,026.00 per year
