Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, supporting our finance department in maintaining accurate financial records and developing essential skills for a future career in accounting or financial services. Knowledge of accounting software and data entry is highly desirable, and training will be provided on specific platforms utilised by the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using various accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and QuickBooks
• Support accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor reconciliations
• Help prepare financial reports and statements under supervision
• Organise and file financial documents to ensure compliance with company policies
• Utilise Workday for payroll and HR-related data management tasks
• Contribute to the real-time updating of financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve workflow efficiency

Experience

• Previous exposure to or familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft or Workday is advantageous
• Experience with data entry, record keeping, or administrative support within a financial environment is preferred
• Basic understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger operations is desirable
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work output
• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and software tools used within the organisation
