Online Korean Tutor job at Remote Full Time

Job Overview
We are seeking engaging Online Korean Tutors to converse like friends with numerous fans around the world who love K-Culture. This is a 100% remote position where you can freely open your schedule on the days and times you prefer without being bound by a fixed roster. You will have the autonomy to set your own hourly rate in USD, starting from a minimum of $5 per 25-minute lesson, allowing for limitless profit generation based on your time and appeal. This role provides an overwhelmingly beneficial working environment with no physical labour or stressful lesson preparation required. Your everyday life and charm will become someone’s most enjoyable Korean lesson.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 video Korean conversation sessions for 25 minutes per session with users worldwide via the OppaLang web platform.
• Lead engaging free-talking sessions based on trendy topics like K-POP, dramas, fashion, and everyday Korean life without the need for textbooks or scripts.
• Focus on leading the conversation and praising foreign students to help them speak Korean comfortably and build confidence, rather than aiming for perfect grammar correction.
• Maintain a professional manner by keeping your tutor profile and schedule updated.
• Attend all scheduled classes responsibly, and if a student is late, wait until the end of the scheduled class time.

Experience

• Must be a Native Korean speaker capable of using accurate and pleasant standard Korean.
• Must be currently enrolled in a university (including those on a leave of absence) or hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher, regardless of the major.
• Must possess a talkative and friendly personality, capable of having a fun and easy-going conversation with strangers without awkwardness.
• Must demonstrate a “Brand Fit” with a positive energy and attractive presentation, which should be showcased through your profile picture and introductory video upon application.
• Prior teaching experience or formal Korean language teaching certifications are not required.
• English fluency is not mandatory, as the platform highly encourages students to use the Korean language during sessions.
