Location: Croydon Area
Pay: £140 per day
Employment Type: Self Employed
We are looking for reliable self employed Van Drivers to join our delivery and installation team covering the Croydon area. You will work as part of a 2-man crew delivering and installing a variety of bulky household items to customers.
Role Overview
This role involves the delivery of white goods, televisions, water filters and other bulky items directly into customer homes. Installations are also carried out at the customer premises, so practical manual skills and confidence using tools are required.
Working Hours
Shift patterns may vary depending on the route and include
- 7:00am to 4:00pm
- 9:00am to 6:00pm
Each shift is 9 hours and includes a 30 minute break.
Pay
£140 per day paid on a self employed basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a company van and completing scheduled delivery routes
- Working as part of a 2-man delivery team
- Delivering bulky household items safely into customer homes
- Carrying out basic installations where required
- Using tools such as drills and other hand tools
- Providing professional and friendly customer service
- Ensuring items are handled safely and delivered in good condition
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence
- Ability to handle and move heavy items as part of a 2-man crew
- Practical manual skills and experience using tools such as drills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work on a self employed basis
Availability
The operation runs 7 days per week.
Drivers must be available a minimum of 5 days per week.
Weekend availability is required on a rota basis.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in delivery, removals or installation work is an advantage
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role
- Team player with a strong work ethic
