The Financial & Regulatory Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining the Statutory Reporting cycle, high-level regulatory returns (can be learn as template-driven), and involvement within the FPnA side commercial in the Accounting & Finance department.

Financial and Regulatory Accountant

City of London

• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports (IFRS / GAAP).
• Regulatory returns (high-level – template driven so can be learnt).
• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and external audits.
• Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
• Keep updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad hoc projects and reporting requirements.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
• Assisting with FPnA as well so great opportunity to build into budgets/forecasts/PnL and modelling – Power Bi visualization.

Profile

Financial and Regulatory Accountant

A successful Financial & Regulatory Accountant should have:

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
• Experience in financial reporting within any lender.
• Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within the Accounting & Finance team.
