APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR A VACANCY IN THE AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL DEPARTMENT FOR A:

TEMPORARY FULL TIME

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL ASSISTANT

Reporting to the Senior Air Traffic Control Assistant (SATCA), the main responsibilities and duties include:

· Provide operational support to the Duty Air Traffic Controller, Air Traffic Services Manager, Deputy Air Traffic Control Manager and SATCA.

· Preparing Flight Progress Strips, checking and amending Flight Plans.

· Assist in the provision of Safety Management.

· Maintain and update live flight information.

· Liaise with internal and external agencies.

· Assist Airfield Operations.

· Administrative duties, including maintaining, updating and amending ATC documentation.

Key skills required:

· Ability to operate accurately and efficiently in a fast-moving environment.

· The ability to multitask, prioritising as required.

· Computer literate with good communication and organisation abilities.

· Ability to remain calm under pressure.

· Self-motivated, good team player.

· Flexibility.

· Be expected to attend a Meteorological Observers course if requested.

· Full clean UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Shift pattern will include early mornings, day shifts, evening shifts and weekend work based on a rotating roster.

This temporary position will be for a minimum 12 month contract.

Employment is subject to successfully clearing background checks and successful completion of training.

Salary scale for the role is £26,664.14 – £29,451.81
