We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for food safety. This role involves supporting catering events, serving guests, and assisting with food preparation in a dynamic environment. Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is advantageous, including barista experience or food handling expertise. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
• Assist with catering setup, organisation, and breakdown for events
• Support food preparation activities in line with health and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables and counters
• Take orders accurately and handle transactions efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance guest experience
• Support bar operations if required, including basic drink preparation as a barista
• Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene protocols at all times
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
• Experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous
• Barista experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive attitude with attention to detail
• Flexibility to work shifts that may include weekends or evenings as required
