APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR VACANCY IN FUEL SERVICES FOR AN
AIRCRAFT REFUELLER (Full Time)
Working within the Airfield Operations Department, Fuel Services performs a key role in the operation of the Airport. The wide range of tasks to be carried out will provide variety and interest within the department.
Reporting to the Fuel Services Manager the main duties are:
· To provide into plane fuel services to aircraft and carry out Quality control checks of Aviation fuel products and safety equipment.
· To comply with all published fueling procedures including Fuel Services Procedures Manual, JIG 4, Safe Systems of Work and interim amendments.
· To carry out various fueling duties as directed by the Fuel Services Manager, or management superior.
· Ensure that clear, accurate, and up-to-date records of the handling of aviation fuels are completed, thus providing detailed documentary evidence of conformance with the requirements of product quality assurance and operating procedures.
· Report all equipment defects and procedural deficiencies according to the established reporting procedures.
· Ensure compliance with the wide range of applicable legislation and company procedures.
· Meet the demands of customers during peak traffic periods.
· Undertake a flexible approach to shift times and durations bearing in mind the changing nature of the business.
Key skills required:
· Flexibility
· Self-motivated, good team player
· Full UK driving license / LGV 2 minimum requirements
· Be numerate
· Good communication skills
· Ability to cope with the discipline of safety systems and record keeping
· Ability to cope without supervision
· The role is a manual ‘hands on’ role therefore a good level of physical fitness is required.
