Perishable Warehouse Operative job at London Heathrow Airport Full Time NEW

Right Now Group are recruiting for a large cargo ground handler at Heathrow! We are looking for a Perishable Warehouse Operative with experience working within a temperature controlled Warehouse environment. Full forklift training will be provided.

You will be joining our client, a prestigious Ground Handler, within their dynamic and busy warehouse environment alongside the clients airline partners, ensuring their cargo is delivered safely and securely around the world!

Location – Heathrow

Hours: You will be required to work a shift pattern consisting of days and nights. This will be a mixture of days and nights in the following format: 4 ON 4 OFF -2 Days 06:30 – 18:30 / 2 Nights 18:30 – 06:30

Responsibilities of a Perishable Warehouse Operative:

• You will be required to assist with loading and unloading vehicles carrying a variety of cargo specifically perishable items including fish using a forklifttruck and other mechanical equipment, as well as performing some manual handling.
• You will be expected to use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo.
• Process paperwork in accordance with our clients requirements.
• Helping with breaking & building ULD’s such as PAG’s, PMC’s and AKE’s
• For any cargo coming into the facility, you will be required when unloading, to check for any discrepancies, damage or any areas of concern.

Skills required to be a Perishable Warehouse Operative:

• Previous experience within a temperature controlled environment.
• Promote Health & Safety to maintain a safe and secure working environment. Previous warehouse experience is desirable.
• We will need to be able to complete Pre-employment checks. This will include a 5 year checkable employment / education history, DBS check (criminal record check)

Salary: £32,000 – £33,000
