Responsibilities

• Support carpenters with the use of hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques.
• Carry out heavy lifting to move materials and equipment around site safely.
• Participate in any other construction tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Follow instructions carefully to ensure quality standards are met during all phases of construction projects.

Skills

• Basic understanding of carpentry, joinery, and construction principles.
• Experience or familiarity with using basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is desirable, but training will be given.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
• Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and safety awareness.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
