Job Description:
DW Exhibitions Ltd is a standout name within the exhibition industry, trusted by many big brands, top agencies and other stand builders within the industry. From design to manufacture to installation, we create unique exhibition stands across the UK, and occasionally mainland Europe.
We have various exciting new projects on the horizon so we’re expanding our team and therefore seeking an experienced, proactive individual to join us. Flexibility is key—as the exhibition industry runs seven days a week, so some weekend work, and occasional nights away will be expected, especially during peak times for on-site installations.
Deadlines matter, and sometimes, a late night is required to help us get the job done right for the client.
To apply for the position, you must have experience within the exhibition industry and or shop fitting industry. Please indicate this in your CV when applying where you have gained your experience and provide reference details.
The Candidate
You will have experience from doing similar roles at other companies, either as a sub-contractor or in a full-time role.
You must have a fully comprehensive understanding of the exhibition industry.
Experience working as part of a workshop team and being comfortable to liaise with management and customers.
Superb client-facing skills and team management are essential.
You must be able to work well under pressure and solve problems should they occur. We are looking for a team player with a sharp attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude.
In return, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing company where you can broaden your experience and be involved with a huge range events with some amazing stand builds.
Duties
Skills
This is not a role that suits trades used to house building, or 1st fix, 2nd fix in construction – you must be used to workshop carpentry and joinery to a good standard and also to site work within exhibition halls.
Typical work hours in the workshop are 7am to 4pm however this will vary for busy periods and when on site so flexibility is key.
The position is based on a sub contractor basis.
When on site doing installations you may have occasional overnight stays and will be paid accordingly with an overnight allowance.
